PiP⁴ is a Chrome extension that lets you send videos from browser tabs to a multi-view dashboard. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
This extension collects and processes the following data:
Page URLs and titles: When you click a box button, the extension reads the current tab's URL and title to generate an embeddable video link. This data is sent to our server solely to display the video on your dashboard.
Anonymous user ID: A randomly generated ID is stored locally in your browser to keep your dashboard separate from other users. This ID contains no personal information.
Video URLs and titles are stored temporarily in server memory and are automatically cleared when the server restarts. No data is written to a database or permanent storage.
We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties. Video embeds are loaded directly from their original platforms (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) using standard embed URLs.
This extension does not use cookies or any tracking technologies. No analytics or advertising services are used.
The extension requests the following browser permissions:
activeTab: To read the URL and title of the current tab when you click a box button.
scripting: To detect video elements on the page for Picture-in-Picture and embed detection.
storage: To store your anonymous user ID locally.
